Simon is the best example of why staff are happy to stay at Intersport Arlberg for the long term. Originally from Imst, he joined us at the age of 18 and has now been actively contributing to our success for 22 years. Drawing on his wealth of experience, he manages a shop, leads the staff and looks after customers. He enjoys working at a world-class destination for skiing.
Simon feels right at home cycling and hiking. As he places great importance on keeping fit, he can often be found at the gym. But he also enjoys spending his free time in the countryside, at the Venet or in Hochimst. And he’s a keen runner too. He’s particularly proud of his result at the Montafon Marathon, where he ran the 33 kilometres in 4 hours and 9 minutes.
What does he like about Intersport Arlberg? That the working atmosphere is sociable, helpful and fair, and that there are opportunities for career progression. Simon also values the interaction with people and the variety in his work. He also enjoys the sales promotion activities. When it comes to the working atmosphere, he praises the team spirit, the camaraderie within the team and the fact that everyone is motivated and enjoys their work. The shop manager also likes the image of this beautiful village and is delighted when celebrities pop in from time to time.
Michael Wolf has been with Intersport Arlberg for many years – he is now the shop manager at the Schlosskopf shop in Lech. Our Michael, from Flirsch, makes sure everything runs like clockwork in the hire department. He enjoys the variety and challenges his job brings.
If you’re looking for him after work, you’ll have to head out into the mountains. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, ski touring, mountain biking and climbing. He has set his sights on climbing Kilimanjaro. Many people want to climb it, but only a few succeed. Knowing Michael as we do, he’ll be one of them.
What he values most about his employer, Intersport, is its social ethos, fair practices and opportunities for further training. He also appreciates the openness and friendliness within the team. Work is simply more enjoyable in such a family-like atmosphere.
Ingrid has been part of Intersport Arlberg for many years and manages the shops in Lech with great passion and dedication.
Her open and warm manner, her personal contact with customers and working closely with her team are particularly close to her heart. Friendliness, team spirit and treating everyone with respect as equals are second nature to her.
In her private life, too, the mountains are her great passion – in summer, when she goes hiking and enjoys nature; in winter, preferably on skis.

Samuel has been part of the Intersport Arlberg crew for a long time now and has become an indispensable member of the team.
He’s always on the go and keeps himself busy: in summer, he’s often drawn to the golf course – where he never misses the chance to play a 9-hole round, even after work. In winter, he enjoys skiing, and he also pops into the gym regularly.

As deputy shop manager at head office, Erzsi is a key member of the team and is responsible for merchandising. With her keen eye for beautiful details, she ensures that our products are showcased to perfection. She always has an eye for what looks good and how to turn a display into something special.
What she values most about her work is the variety, the interaction with people and the creative aspect. She particularly enjoys the great working atmosphere and the camaraderie within the team. She especially enjoys making a difference together, achieving goals and pulling in the same direction as a team.
She prefers to spend her free time with her loved ones. Together, they enjoy spending time in nature and love being out and about. She feels particularly at ease when there’s water nearby – whether it’s a river, a lake or the sea.
